Jay Bartlett

Howdy, my name is Jay Bartlett. I am grateful you are taking the time to review our site and learn more about me and why I do what I do. I am a native Texan and have lived in Central Texas most of my life. I am truly humbled to join the Wimberley community.

After finishing my electrical engineering degrees and a small stint in state politics as an energy and environment policy analyst, I was left with the desire to have more of a direct impact on the community around me. This is when I discovered acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Coincidentally upon admittance into the Master’s program at AOMA, my health took a turn for the worse 9 years ago. This crisis reinforced my need to continue down the path of holistic medicine and acupuncture.

Through the recovery and healing I received from Dr. William Morris, I was inspired to study his techniques and lineage for 8 years. I have since assisted him in his lectures to fellow doctoral and masters’ students. It has been an honor to be one of his disciples and it was his encouragement which propelled me through the challenges of such a career change. Under his mentorship, he became my defense advisor for my doctoral capstone on “The Confluence of the Mechanisms between Acupuncture and Bioelectromagnetism” which effectively merged my background as an electrical engineer and as a doctor of acupuncture.

Feel free to call me: Jay, Dr. Jay, Dr. Bartlett, or Doc Sol, but whatever you choose, know that I am more than just a title. I am dedicated to work with you to ease suffering and solve the problems you come across and carry in your life. I am always striving to help my patients to find a pain, stress, and trauma free life by discovering the root causes while addressing the symptoms, so that you can live your best life with a treatment plan individually customized to your needs.

In respect and gratitude for you placing your trust in me for your care, I honor this dynamic position with integrity to your process and a pledge to being a companion on the road to health.
